This guide shows the core canvas actions: placing items, moving/resizing, and connecting items to build a visual workflow.
Open the canvas
Go to Sidebar → Canvas (/workspaces/:id/canvas).
Add an item
- Add a canvas item (note/link/image/etc.).
- Place it on the canvas and adjust position/size.
- Edit the content for that item type (for example, note text or a link URL).
Connect two items
- Start a connection from the first item.
- Drag to the target item.
- Drop to create a connection between them.
Troubleshooting
Item won't move or resize
Confirm you have edit permissions in the workspace/board and that Canvas is enabled in Sidebar → Settings (/workspaces/:id/settings).
Images won't load
If the image is hosted externally, the source may block embedding. Try a different URL or upload the image and place it from an upload URL.
